Xiaomi launches Mijia standalone countertop ice maker

Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Ice Maker, its first standalone countertop ice-making device under the Xiaomi Home brand. Currently available for crowdfunding pre-sale in China at approximately 2,600 yuan ($359), the product is scheduled for official sale on August 17.

The compact appliance, which occupies an area similar to an A4 sheet of paper, features two production modes: a “Fast Ice Mode” that completes a cycle in 6 to 8 minutes, and a “Standard Ice Mode” that produces larger, clearer cubes designed to melt more slowly. The machine can produce up to 13kg of ice in a 24-hour period and can store between 64 and 80 cubes.

Key maintenance and functional features include UV light sterilization, a five-minute self-cleaning mode, and scheduled ice-making options for 3, 5, or 8 hours. The device weighs 6.1kg and operates at 110 watts, allowing it to be powered by a compatible automotive inverter.
