Xiaomi launches Pad 8S Pro with Xring O3 chip and AI‑powered Smart Camera 4 Max

Xiaomi's upcoming tablet, the Pad 8S Pro, is reported to have a 12.5‑inch LCD screen with a 3.2K resolution and will be powered by the company's own Xring O3 processor, succeeding the Xring O1. The device is expected to carry a 12,000 mAh battery that supports 120 W wired fast charging and a 32 MP front‑facing camera aimed at video calls and remote learning.

The company also announced the Smart Camera 4 Max AI Zoom Edition, which features a dual‑lens system (a 12 MP telephoto lens with 3× loss‑less zoom, a 12× hybrid zoom and an 8 MP ultra‑wide lens), 4K video capture, night‑vision LEDs and a four‑core AI processor. An in‑house large language model enables the camera to recognise falls, prolonged inactivity and unusual pet behaviour, sending alerts via the Mi Home app. The camera debuted in China at a price of 799 yuan (about 430 zł).
