Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 17 series with massive batteries
Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Note 17 series, a new generation of mid-range smartphones featuring a focus on extreme battery life and durability. The lineup includes four models: the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G, Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 17 5G, and the standard Redmi Note 17.
The flagship Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G introduces a massive silicon-carbon battery, with capacities reported up to 10,000mAh in certain markets and approximately 9,210mAh in Europe. This model supports 100W fast charging and is designed for long-term use, with Xiaomi promising up to six years of security updates and battery health maintenance. The Pro Max model also features a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor and a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display.
Other models in the series offer varying battery capacities, such as 8,340mAh for the Pro 5G and 7,700mAh for the standard 5G and 4G versions. The series emphasizes the ‘Built for Years’ philosophy, incorporating enhanced water and drop resistance, with some models receiving TÜV SÜD Titan Quality certification for durability. The Redmi Note series has now surpassed 500 million cumulative global shipments.
