Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Kids Phone Watch Pro in China, pricing it at 1,199 yuan (about $175) with an early‑bird price of 1,045 yuan and a subsidised price of 888.25 yuan after government rebates. The device adds dual 5 MP flip cameras—one on the front bezel and a rear camera that flips up—allowing children to take selfies and outward‑facing photos.

Key safety features include offline location tracking that continues for up to five days after the watch powers down by relaying signals through nearby Xiaomi devices, AI‑driven floor‑level positioning updated every second, and a water‑proximity alert that notifies parents when the child approaches lakes, pools or rivers. Parental controls cover screen‑time limits, app usage monitoring, and an automatic school‑mode that disables the watch during class hours.
