Xiaomi expands smartphone lineup with Redmi Note 17 and Poco X8
Xiaomi is expanding its mobile lineup with the introduction of the Redmi Note 17 series and the Poco X8. The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G features a high-capacity 9,210 mAh battery, designed to provide up to three days of autonomy, and has received TÜV SÜD 5-star Titan Quality certification for durability, including drop and water resistance. The series emphasizes long-term usability with up to six years of security updates.
The Poco X8, positioned as a budget-friendly option, shares similar characteristics with the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G, including an 8,340 mAh battery, a 1.5K AMOLED display, and IP69K certification. While offering strong battery life and display quality, reviews note compromises in processor performance and low-light camera quality.
Additionally, the Redmi 17C 5G has entered markets like Slovakia, offering a 6,000 mAh battery and 5G connectivity. In China, anticipation is building for the Redmi K100, which may feature a battery exceeding 10,000 mAh and the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
