Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 17 series with massive batteries

Xiaomi has launched the new Redmi Note 17 series, a lineup of four smartphones designed with a focus on extreme battery life, durability, and long-term software support. The series includes the Redmi Note 17, Redmi Note 17 5G, Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G, and the first-ever Pro Max model, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G.

A central feature of the new generation is the use of silicon-carbon battery technology. The flagship Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G features a massive 9,210 mAh or 10,000 mAh battery (depending on the region) that supports 100W HyperCharge and up to three days of use. The Pro 5G model includes an 8,340 mAh battery with 67W charging, while the standard models offer 7,700 mAh capacities.

Durability is emphasized through the “REDMI Titan Quality” standard. The Pro and Pro Max models have earned the TÜV SÜD 5-star Titan Quality certification for their resistance to drops and water. The devices also offer extended software longevity, with up to six years of security updates promised for the series. The lineup features AMOLED displays with high peak brightness and various Snapdragon processors, such as the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 4.
