Xiaomi launches Smart Camera Video Call Edition 2 with 4K video

Xiaomi has introduced the Smart Camera Video Call Edition 2, a new addition to its smart home portfolio. Currently available in the Chinese market, the device features a 3.97-inch color touchscreen and an 8 MP sensor capable of 4K recording.

The camera offers 360-degree horizontal rotation and manual vertical tilting. It is powered by a new 1.5T chip, which is reportedly 50% faster than the previous generation, enabling advanced AI for movement and scene detection. The device supports bidirectional calls via gestures, buttons, or automatic triggers, utilizing dual microphones with intelligent noise reduction.

Integrated into the HyperConnect ecosystem, the camera allows for live video streaming and easy access sharing among family members. While currently limited to China, a release in European markets like Portugal is anticipated later this year.
