Xiaomi partners with Guatemala’s CSD Municipal club for 90‑year celebration

Xiaomi announced a collaboration with Club Social y Deportivo Municipal, one of Guatemala’s most storied football teams, to mark the club’s 90‑year history and recent 2026 Clausura championship, its 33rd league title. The partnership ties the Xiaomi 17T smartphone, equipped with Leica Summilux and Leica 5X periscopic lenses and the Leica Live Moment feature, to the club’s fans, enabling them to capture high‑quality action shots of matches.

Shanti Recinos, Xiaomi’s Marketing Communications Manager, said the alliance shows how technology can help people connect with their passions. Municipal, founded in 1936 and the only Guatemalan club to win the 1974 CONCACAF Champions Cup, will use the Xiaomi‑Leica imaging tools to document games and share memorable moments with supporters.
