Xiaomi promotes AI expert Luo Fuli to highest professional level

Luo Fuli, born in 1995, has been promoted to level 22 at Xiaomi, the highest professional grade within the corporation's management system. This promotion occurred approximately 10 months after she joined the company in November 2025.

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun reportedly offered an annual salary of 10 million NDT (approximately 38 billion VND) to recruit her. Prior to joining Xiaomi, Luo was a key figure at the Chinese AI firm DeepSeek, where she contributed to the development of the DeepSeek-V2 open-source AI model.

At Xiaomi, Luo leads the team responsible for developing large language models and the MiMo AI model series. Her work is central to Xiaomi's strategy to expand artificial intelligence capabilities across its ecosystem, including virtual assistants like XiaoAI, smart devices, and other integrated technologies.
