Xiaomi reveals sales strategy and features for Pengcheng SUV series
Xiaomi has outlined its sales and service strategy for the Pengcheng series, a new line of intelligent large-space SUVs. The company will utilize a dual-channel approach, combining dedicated experience stores in shopping malls with existing Xiaomi auto experience centers, delivery centers, and service hubs. This strategy aims to expand offline touchpoints quickly without the need for massive new infrastructure investments.
The Pengcheng series includes the N70 Max, a large five-seat four-wheel-drive extended-range SUV, and the N90 Max, a flagship seven-seat extended-range SUV. The N70 Max has a pre-sale price of 259,990 yuan, while the N90 Max is priced at 299,990 yuan. Official market launch is planned for September.
Regarding vehicle capabilities, Xiaomi confirmed that the entire Pengcheng series features a wading mode for emergency use in scenarios like heavy rain or flooded roads. The N90 Max has a maximum wading depth of 750mm, while the N70 Max can handle up to 650mm. In extreme cases where water exceeds these limits, the vehicle will trigger an emergency alert, unlock child locks, and open rear windows to facilitate passenger escape. Additionally, the vehicles support emergency floating to prevent cabin water ingress for up to three minutes.
Xiaomi also introduced three types of vehicle tablet options designed for different scenarios, including versions for cup holder mounting and rail mounting, intended for use while parked.
