Xiaomi has leaked details of its upcoming HyperOS 4, built on Android 17. The new UI adopts a “Liquid Glass” visual language with translucent, blur‑based elements, 2.5‑D icons and updated status‑bar dimensions. System apps are being rewritten in Rust for improved stability and security, and a Leica‑themed visual option is included. Early screenshots show stacked widget animations with physics‑based motion and deeper depth effects.

Beta updates for the Xiaomi 17 Pro series have also begun rolling out HyperOS 3.0.317, adding a rear‑display shortcut for Alipay payments, enhanced Bluetooth car‑key connectivity and general stability fixes. Users in India report that the Xiaomi 17, 17 Ultra and 17 T Pro have received Android 17‑based HyperOS updates, marking the first stable Android 17 releases for the line. The combined previews suggest Xiaomi is focusing on micro‑interactions and AI‑enhanced features while maintaining performance across its flagship and mid‑range devices.
