Xiaomi shares rise following 70,000 Skynomad SUV orders
Xiaomi shares rose up to 9.2% on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange following reports of strong demand for its new Skynomad SUV lineup. The company announced that it received more than 70,000 confirmed orders for the N90 and N70 series between September 7 and October 7, 2026.
In September 2026, Xiaomi reported total automotive deliveries exceeding 40,000 units, marking its best monthly result of the year. Of these, more than 10,000 units were from the Skynomad series. The Skynomad models, which include the N90 Max and N70 Pro, utilize extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) technology, combining electric motors with a 1,500 cc turbo gasoline engine acting as a generator.
Xiaomi aims to reach a total sales target of 550,000 vehicles for the year 2026. While the Skynomad series has seen significant initial interest, its performance has not yet matched the demand seen for the company's YU7 SUV model.
