Xiaomi SkyNomad SUV lineup secures 70,000 orders in first month
Xiaomi's automotive division has seen a significant surge in market interest following the launch of its SkyNomad SUV lineup. The company reported over 70,000 locked-in, non-refundable orders for the SkyNomad series between September 7 and October 7, 2026. This demand includes the N70 Pro, N70 Max, and the N90 Max models.
The SkyNomad series marks Xiaomi's strategic expansion into the extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) market. Unlike the company's previous pure electric models, the SkyNomad utilizes a 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine as a range extender to charge the battery during travel. Depending on the configuration, the vehicles offer a combined range of up to 1,705 km under the Chinese CLTC cycle.
In September, Xiaomi delivered more than 40,000 total vehicles, with the SkyNomad models accounting for over 10,000 of those units. This performance contributed to a notable rise in Xiaomi's stock price on the Hong Kong exchange, which saw gains of up to 9.2% following the announcement of the strong order volume.
