Xiaomi surpasses 40,000 monthly vehicle deliveries

Xiaomi has achieved a significant milestone in its automotive division, surpassing 40,000 monthly vehicle deliveries in September. This marks a substantial increase from July and August, when deliveries were approximately 31,267 and 30,153 respectively. This growth is largely attributed to the introduction of the SkyNomad family, representing a strategic shift for the company.

Unlike the previous SU7 and YU7 models, which are purely electric, the SkyNomad series utilizes Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) technology. This system uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine to act as a generator to charge the battery, extending the vehicle's range.

A notable model in this lineup, the SkyNomad N90 Max Studio, is positioned as a “mobile studio” rather than a traditional motorhome. The SUV features specialized amenities for camping and relaxation, including an electric pop-up roof that creates a sleeping compartment, seats that convert into a bed, heated floors, and a 30-inch projector screen. The version equipped with the pop-up roof is priced at approximately 299,900 yuan (around $44,000 USD), with deliveries expected to begin by the end of 2026.
