Xiaomi Unveils HyperOS 4 Leaks Featuring AI Perception and Real‑Time Light Field Rendering

Xiaomi’s forthcoming HyperOS 4, built on Android 17, is being detailed in recent leaks that outline a suite of AI‑driven and visual enhancements. The update is set to introduce real‑time light field rendering that creates dynamic lighting, depth and reflections across the user interface, alongside a new “Liquid Glass” material engine that gives the system a translucent, frosted aesthetic.

Key AI features include active AI perception powered by the device’s Neural Processing Unit, enabling context‑aware assistance with minimal battery impact, and a redesigned floating AI assistant that operates like Apple’s Dynamic Island, offering contextual information directly within the UI. Additional usability upgrades cover customizable large folders, widget stacking that consolidates up to ten widgets, and stacked lock‑screen notifications that group alerts into translucent cards.

These innovations represent one of Xiaomi’s most significant software upgrades, aiming to boost on‑device intelligence, visual immersion, and energy efficiency across its smartphone, tablet and foldable lineup.
