Xiaomi unveils Mijia Mini Twin-Tub compact washer-dryer

Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Mini Twin-Tub Washer-Dryer, a compact appliance designed for small living spaces and households needing to wash different types of laundry simultaneously. The device features two independent 2.5 kg drums, allowing for a total washing capacity of 5 kg. This setup enables users to separate items by color or fabric type, such as washing baby clothes in one drum and adult clothing in the other.

For drying, each drum has a 1.5 kg capacity, providing a total drying capacity of 3 kg. A key technical feature is the use of independent water and drying channels for each drum, which prevents cross-contamination and maintains high hygiene standards.

Despite its compact size, the machine offers high performance with drum speeds reaching up to 1,200 rpm. It includes two separate 150 ml detergent compartments that automatically adjust the amount of detergent based on the laundry load. The device offers 34 different washing modes, including specialized settings for coffee stains, makeup residue, and baby clothes, which claim a 99.99% cleanliness rate. Additionally, it features an air circulation system to prevent odors and moisture buildup and integrates with Xiaomi’s smart home ecosystem via wireless OTA updates.
