Santa Fe 2026: Preparations intensify for South American Games

Preparations are accelerating for the XIII South American Games, scheduled to take place from September 12 to 26, 2026, across the Argentine cities of Santa Fe, Rosario, and Rafaela. The event will host over 4,000 athletes from 15 countries competing in 43 sports and 60 disciplines.

Key developments include the inauguration of the 'Invencible Santa Fe' stadium at the High Performance Sports Center (CARD). This multipurpose facility, with a capacity of 3,472 spectators, will serve as the primary venue for handball competitions. Additionally, the South American Torch is currently touring the 19 departments of the Santa Fe province to promote the event.

In a historic move, esports will be officially included in the competitive program for the first time, featuring titles such as VALORANT, EA SPORTS FC, and Assetto Corsa Competizione. Competitions for these digital disciplines will be centered in Rosario. Other venues, such as the Sports Museum in Rosario and various local clubs, are also undergoing renovations or preparations to serve as operational hubs and competition sites.
