Xinghua Park underground parking lot opens in Sanchong

New Taipei City Mayor Hou Yu-ih presided over the opening ceremony of the Xinghua Park underground parking lot in Sanchong District. The three-level underground facility, built with a total budget of approximately 520 million TWD, provides 208 car parking spaces. The project was funded by a 150 million TWD subsidy from the central government's Forward-Looking Infrastructure Development Program and 370 million TWD from the city government.

In addition to the parking structure, the project included improvements to Xinghua Park, such as widening sidewalks and roads on both sides of the park and enhancing the landscape for a more accessible and environmentally friendly environment.

The facility has entered a trial operation period with free parking available from the evening of August 25 until September 24. Official operations are scheduled to begin on September 25, with hourly parking rates set at 30 TWD. Monthly pass lottery details will be announced in early September.
