Xinzhuang truck rolls into road divider after driver fails to engage handbrake

A small truck caused significant traffic delays in Xinzhuang after its driver failed to engage the handbrake. The incident occurred on August 31 around 3:00 PM when a 31-year-old man parked his vehicle in a space near an administrative building.

Without the handbrake engaged, the truck rolled backward and became wedged in a central road divider, blocking one lane in both directions. Police from the Xinzhuang Precinct and the traffic division managed traffic and coordinated a tow truck to clear the scene. The road was not fully cleared until 5:25 PM.

Authorities confirmed the driver had a blood alcohol content of 0.00 mg/L and no injuries were reported. Police have urged drivers to double-check that vehicles are properly secured and parked in the correct gear to prevent similar accidents.
