XION releases new single ahead of second album

XION Swedish metal When Stars Collide Granted Wings (Let Me Fly) Fireflash Records

Swedish metal quintet XION has released a new single and lyric video titled ‘Granted Wings (Let Me Fly)’. The track is described by the band as an emotional, dark-themed song exploring themes of abandonment, loneliness, and uncertainty.

The release serves as a precursor to their second album, ‘When Stars Collide’, which is scheduled for release on September 11 via Fireflash Records. Formed in 2022 in Falun, the band has gained recognition for their blend of speed and thrash metal.

Following their debut album ‘Between Shadows and Gods’, released in January 2024, XION has performed at various festivals and served as a support act for bands such as In Flames and the Gene Simmons Band.
