Xiong'an New Area hosts Future Industry Innovation and Development Conference

The 2026 Future Industry Innovation and Development Conference was held in the Xiong'an New Area of Hubei Province, China. The event brought together representatives from politics, business, and academia to discuss emerging industrial trends and frameworks for high-quality development.

During the conference, Wang Qinmin, director of the Chinese National E-Governance Expert Committee, emphasized that developing future industries is vital for building new quality productive forces and modern industrial systems. Hubei Governor Wang Chengfu noted that the province is expanding application scenarios through policies like the ‘AI+’ action plan. Under the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030), Hubei aims to strengthen the coordinated development of aerospace information, satellite internet, AI, and new materials.

Xinhua News Agency Editor-in-Chief Lyu Yansong stated that technical innovation in the Xiong'an New Area is driving future industries. The conference, organized by Xinhua Dotcom Co., Ltd., saw the release of three major innovative results: the ‘Future Industry Development Initiative (2026)’, the ‘Future Industry Global Perception Indicative Index (2026)’, and the ‘Future Industry Development Observation (2026)’.
