A former leader of the Xiquets del Serrallo castellera group is facing a trial at the Audiència de Tarragona for the alleged sexual abuse of a minor. The prosecution is seeking 19 years in prison for the accused.

According to the Fiscalia, the defendant exploited a relationship of absolute trust with the victim's parents to be alone with the girl, who was 14 at the time the relationship began in 2019. The prosecution alleges that the abuse continued until the summer of 2022 and included the solicitation of nude photographs.

The requested sentence consists of 12 years for continuous sexual abuse involving penetration and 7 years for the crime of obtaining pornographic material. The trial is being held behind closed doors.
