XMG refreshes 16-inch laptop series with RTX 5070

XMG has announced refreshes for its 16-inch laptop lineup, introducing the APEX 16 (M26) and the PRO 16 VE. A primary upgrade in these 2026 models is the inclusion of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU, which now features 12 GB of VRAM, an increase from the 8 GB found in previous versions. The GPU reaches a maximum graphics power of 115 watts, consisting of 100 watts of base power and 15 watts of Dynamic Boost.

To manage the thermal demands of the new hardware, XMG has redesigned the cooling systems for both devices. This includes the addition of a third fan specifically dedicated to cooling the RAM, as well as new ventilation slots located on the bottom of the chassis.

The APEX 16 offers configurations with either an AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX or a Ryzen 9 8945HX processor, both featuring 16 cores and 32 threads. The device supports up to 96 GB of DDR5 memory and features a 16-inch IPS display with a 300 Hz refresh rate, 2560x1600 resolution, and 500 nits of brightness. The laptop includes a 99.8 Wh battery and weighs approximately 2.35 kg.
