Xolo Maridueña to make Broadway debut in Buena Vista Social Club

Actor Xolo Maridueña, known for his roles in ‘Cobra Kai’ and ‘Blue Beetle’, will make his Broadway debut in the musical ‘Buena Vista Social Club’. Maridueña is set to play the role of Juan De Marcos at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, with performances beginning November 17 and running through January 3, 2027.

The production, which tells the story of the legendary Cuban artists behind the Grammy Award-winning album, has earned five Tony Awards and a Grammy Award since its opening in March 2025. The cast features several notable performers, including Gina Torres, who plays Omara from October 13 to November 29, and former New York Yankee Bernie Williams, who joins the band for a limited engagement starting October 22.

Maridueña expressed his excitement regarding the opportunity, stating that making his Broadway debut with such a team feels like ‘hitting the lottery twice.’
