XP aims to double assets to R$4 trillion and lead Brazil's investment market by 2033

Financial education was a core driver of XP's early growth. Founder Guilherme Benchimol and client‑relationship head Bruno Ballista recalled how the firm used street‑distributed flyers and modest lectures to teach Brazilians about investing and build trust.

At the Expert XP 2026 forum, CEO Thiago Maffra announced a strategy to double the company's size by 2033, targeting roughly R$4 trillion in assets under custody and management. The plan includes expanding services for individual and corporate clients, launching a corporate credit card with up to 1.2% cashback, and establishing a financing arm for foreign trade, positioning XP as the leading investment platform in Brazil.
