XP appoints Microsoft executive Rodrigo Kede Lima to Board of Directors
XP has announced a change to its Board of Directors, with Martín Escobari stepping down by mutual agreement. Escobari, who serves as co-president and global leader of Growth Equity at General Atlantic, is leaving the board due to increased responsibilities in his role at the investment firm.
Rodrigo Kede Lima, the current president of Microsoft Frontier Company—a global unit focused on accelerating artificial intelligence adoption—will replace Escobari. Kede Lima brings over 30 years of experience in technology, digital transformation, and corporate governance, having previously held roles at IBM and Totvs.
XP founder and Chairman Guilherme Benchimol stated that Kede Lima’s appointment is intended to strengthen the company’s growth projects, specifically leveraging artificial intelligence as a competitive advantage. The company emphasized that this transition is part of a planned process and does not alter its long-term strategy of business expansion and shareholder value creation.
