XPENG AeroHT secures eVTOL order from Sichuan Airlines Low-Altitude

Shanghai-based XPENG AeroHT (Volant) has signed a procurement agreement with Sichuan Airlines Low-Altitude Economic Investment and Management Co., Ltd. at the Zigong Low-Altitude Economy Industry Development Conference.

Under the agreement, Sichuan Airlines Low-Altitude will purchase 50 VE25-100 high-end passenger electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, with 20 of these being confirmed orders. The partnership aims to expand high-value application scenarios in the Sichuan-Chongqing region, including airport shuttles, urban air mobility (UAM), emergency transport, high-end business travel, and low-altitude tourism.

Prior to the VE25-100 receiving its Type Certificate (TC), the two parties will conduct joint research, testing, and pilot operations. Additionally, their respective industrial funds plan to collaborate on equity investments in regional low-altitude economy projects to integrate professional capabilities with capital.
