Xpeng launches L03 electric SUV‑Coupé in 65 markets worldwide

Xpeng unveiled its new L03 electric SUV‑Coupé at a brand‑day event in Munich, simultaneously launching the model in 65 (64) markets across Europe and China. The vehicle, designed by former Ferrari designer Juan Ma Lopez, measures 4.65 m in length, has a drag coefficient of 0.228 and offers variants with rear‑wheel or all‑wheel drive.

Pricing starts at €35,600 in Germany, €36,600 in Austria, 239 995 DKK in Denmark and around 399 900 SEK in Sweden, positioning the L03 as a low‑cost alternative to the Tesla Model Y. Battery options include a 58.3 kWh pack delivering up to 445 km (WLTP) and a larger 71.2 kWh pack reaching up to 520 km. A range‑extender version adds a small gasoline generator for trips beyond the electric range.

The L03 incorporates three Turing AI chips (2 250 TOPS total) and the new Next Generation Pilot (NGP) based on the VLA 2.0 model, delivering Level‑2++ driver assistance with a planned global rollout in 2027, subject to regulatory approval. Google Maps is integrated directly into the infotainment system. Xpeng also announced longer‑term autonomy goals, aiming for Level‑4 self‑driving by 2028 and showcasing a detachable flying‑car concept at the same Munich stage.

The launch marks Xpeng’s first simultaneous global debut, signaling a major push into the European market and intensifying competition in the compact electric SUV segment.
