XPENG and iCAUR launch new REEV electric vehicle models

New electric vehicle models from XPENG and iCAUR are utilizing Range Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) technology to address range anxiety.

The XPENG L03 is being released in both a pure Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) version and a REEV version. The REEV model features Kunpeng Range Extender Technology and a 37.2 kWh battery, allowing for over 200 km of pure electric driving and a combined range exceeding 1,000 km. The REEV version produces CO2 emissions of only 24 g/km.

The iCAUR V27 is an SUV that combines classic off-road styling with a modern electric powertrain. It uses REEV technology with a 105 kW internal combustion engine that acts solely as a generator. The vehicle features a 335 kW all-wheel-drive electric system producing 505 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration in six seconds. It is equipped with a 34.31 kWh battery supporting CCS2 fast charging, which can increase the charge from 20% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes.
