XPeng and Yijing Auto announce debuts for new smart vehicle models
Several new smart vehicle models are set for global debuts in China. XPeng Group Chairman He Xiaopeng announced the global premiere of the XPeng G9L, a large five-seat technology flagship, scheduled for August 11. The G9L is the brand's first mid-to-large SUV to offer both pure electric and extended-range versions. It features an 800V ultra-fast charging platform capable of adding 450km of range in 9 minutes, and an AI-powered zero-gravity seat equipped with 91 pressure sensors for real-time adaptive support.
Separately, Yijing Auto—a mid-to-high-end intelligent brand formed through cooperation between Dongfeng Motor Group and Huawei—is debuting its X9 flagship model with the HarmonySpace 6 cockpit. The X9 will feature Huawei's Qiankun ADS 5 Max and a suite of Huawei technologies, including LCoS laser projection and high-resolution smart projection headlights. The X9 is expected to enter pre-sales in August with deliveries starting in the third quarter of this year.
