Xpeng ANZ pledges to honor former distributor's customer promises
Xpeng ANZ, the Australian subsidiary of Chinese automaker Xpeng, has announced it will honor promotional commitments made by its former distributor, TrueEV. This follows the dismissal of a legal battle in Federal Court after TrueEV failed to pay a required $1.26 million security for costs by an August 19 deadline.
Xpeng ANZ is now the sole operator of the Xpeng brand in Australia. To address customer uncertainty, the company is reviewing documented promises made by TrueEV, including $5,000 cashback offers, 10-year warranties, and complimentary scheduled servicing.
Customers who have not received these promised benefits are encouraged to contact Xpeng ANZ with their vehicle identification number (VIN) and proof of purchase. The company stated it will review each case individually to organize applicable payments, warranty activations, or service bookings.
