Xpeng G6: User reports positive 20,000 km electric driving experience

After 20,000 kilometers of use, consultant William Sbarzaglia reports a highly positive experience transitioning from traditional internal combustion engines to the all-electric Xpeng G6.

Key highlights of the vehicle include its high level of comfort and silence due to the absence of engine vibrations. The advanced adaptive cruise control is noted for reducing driver stress during highway traffic and urban commutes. The car’s 800V platform is a significant technical advantage, enabling exceptionally fast charging speeds at ultra-fast stations, which minimizes wait times compared to older electric vehicle generations.

While the technological ecosystem and infotainment are comparable to higher-tier vehicles, some minor software issues were noted. However, continuous over-the-air (OTA) updates are expected to improve the system over time. For long-distance travel, the user utilizes A Better Routeplanner (ABRP) and Google Maps to manage charging stops effectively.
