XPeng launches L03 AI‑SUV globally, targeting European market
Chinese EV maker XPeng unveiled its new L03 AI‑SUV Coupé at a brand‑day event in Munich, releasing the model simultaneously in 65 markets, including Europe and China. Designed by former Ferrari exterior chief JuanMa Lopez, the L03 features a fastback silhouette, a drag coefficient of 0.228 and a 15.6‑inch central touchscreen with a panoramic head‑up display. It is offered as a fully electric BEV and as a Power X REEV with 58.3 kWh or 71.2 kWh LFP batteries, delivering WLTP ranges of 445‑520 km and up to 236 kW fast‑charging (20 % to 80 % in about 18 minutes). Prices start at €35,600 in Germany, positioning the L03 against the Tesla Model Y and Audi Q4 e‑tron. XPeng’s next‑generation NGP VLA 2.0 intelligent‑driving system, powered by in‑house Turing AI chips (750 TOPS), will be rolled out in Europe from 2027, with a roadmap to Level 4 autonomy by 2028. The launch also highlighted the company’s broader “Physical AI” agenda, including the humanoid robot Iron and the Aridge flying‑car, both slated for future mass production. First deliveries are scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year, with the L03 intended as the brand’s primary entry model for the European market.
