XPeng schedules July 2 China debut for MONA L03 SUV, to follow quickly with European launch

XPeng announced that its first MONA series SUV, the L03, will make its China debut on July 2 in Beijing, with pre‑orders opening the same evening. Display vehicles begin arriving at dealerships across China on July 1. The company’s founder and CEO He Xiaopeng called the schedule the fastest product rollout in XPeng’s history and said a European launch with official sales will follow shortly, though no exact date was given.

The L03 is positioned as a mass‑market model priced around 150,000 yuan, below the 300,000‑yuan class. It will be offered with both battery‑electric (BEV) and extended‑range (EREV) powertrains, delivering up to 625 km of range and 0‑100 km/h acceleration in 6.6 seconds. Standard features include a 15.6‑inch 2.5K centre screen, a 26.8‑inch head‑up display, more than 72 % soft‑touch interior surfaces, and a 256‑colour ambient‑lighting strip spanning 4.15 m. The vehicle’s design was led by former Ferrari designer Juan Ma López and his global team. A rapid rollout plan aims to present the model in China and then in Europe within days, testing the company’s execution capability and market demand.
