Xpeng MONA L03 SUV set for European launch after record-breaking pre‑order numbers

Chinese EV maker Xpeng announced that its new MONA L03 compact SUV will debut in Europe at a public event in Munich on 16 July, with sales planned for all markets where the brand operates, including Poland. The model, positioned as a youthful, affordable electric SUV, has already broken the company’s pre‑sale order record, surpassing all previous Xpeng models in the same time frame.

Pricing is expected to start at about 143,800 yuan (≈ 88,500 zł) for the basic trim, with variants ranging up to 165,800 yuan. The L03 will be offered with a pure‑electric powertrain delivering up to 249 hp and a top speed of 180 km/h, as well as a plug‑in hybrid‑electric version that can travel up to 1,330 km on a combined cycle. Battery options include 56 kWh and 69 kWh LFP packs promising up to 650 km (CLTC). The vehicle features Xpeng’s Next Generation Pilot system, a Turing AI chip with up to 1,500 TOPS of compute, and OTA software updates, emphasizing a “software‑defined” approach without lidar.

The launch follows a strong domestic response, with the company’s vice‑president noting that the L03’s pre‑order volume has set a new brand record, reflecting strong consumer interest in a modern, technology‑heavy SUV aimed at younger buyers.
