Xpeng Mona L05 EREV achieves 1,194 km range in road test
The Xpeng Mona L05 extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) completed a road test covering 1,194.2 kilometers (approximately 742 miles) without recharging or refueling. The journey, which took 23 hours and 14 minutes, followed the G228 coastal highway from Guangzhou to Wenzhou.
The test was conducted using an “Ultra Power Saving Mode” that reduced non-essential functions, with the climate control set to 24°C. During the initial phase, the vehicle traveled 252.7 kilometers on battery power alone with an electricity consumption of 11.7 kWh per 100 km. The gasoline engine then acted as a range extender to complete the trip.
The achieved distance represents 94.77 percent of the vehicle's advertised CLTC combined range. The Mona L05 EREV features a 183-kilowatt electric motor, a 37.2-kilowatt-hour lithium iron phosphate battery, and a 1.5-liter gasoline engine.
