XPeng MONA L05 features standard all-scenario tire blowout stability

XPeng has announced that its new MONA L05 SUV features 17 active safety functions, including a standard all-scenario tire blowout stability system. The vehicle is designed to provide safety capabilities typically found in flagship models priced at the 300,000 RMB level.

In a recent demonstration involving ZEALER founder Wang Ziru, the MONA L05 successfully maintained stability during a high-speed test. Under a full load of five passengers and nine pieces of luggage, the vehicle reached speeds of 160 km/h when both front and rear tires on the same side experienced simultaneous blowouts. The system reportedly utilizes millisecond-level responses to manage the sudden loss of pressure and maintain control.

Other safety features included in the MONA L05 include automatic emergency braking (AEB), lane keep assist (LKA), driver monitoring, and emergency lane departure assistance. XPeng stated that the MONA series will continue to prioritize active safety, with blowout stability functions expected to be standard across the product line.
