Xpeng rolls out affordable Mona EVs in China and begins European testing

Xpeng introduced the Mona M03 on 27 August 2024 as the brand’s lowest‑priced model, priced at 119,800–155,800 yuan (approximately 589,000–766,000 baht). The vehicle reached a production capacity of 50 units per hour, delivering over 30,000 reservations within two days and surpassing 50,000 units produced in four months. In December, Xpeng’s total deliveries hit a record 36,695 cars, with the Mona M03 accounting for more than 15,000 of those.

Separately, the Mona L03 electric SUV was spotted in Munich with a Polish licence plate, confirming road‑testing in Germany as part of Xpeng’s European market validation. The 4.65‑metre SUV, equipped with a 69 kWh battery offering around 550 km (340 mi) of range, is expected to be priced near €35,000 and could be built by Magna in Austria. Xpeng plans to launch the Mona sub‑brand in Europe in summer 2026, positioning it as a lower‑cost alternative to the Tesla Model Y and other mainstream EVs.
