XPeng to Deploy 4,000 Ultra‑Fast EV Chargers in Europe, Including Spain

Chinese electric‑vehicle maker XPeng plans to install more than 4,000 ultra‑fast charging points across Europe by the end of 2028. The network will offer up to 1,000 kW power and is intended to complement existing third‑party access, targeting 3,780 proprietary stations and 2.7 million third‑party points. CEO and founder He Xiaopeng confirmed on X that Spain will be part of the rollout, replying simply “rest assured.” XPeng’s current models – the G6, G9 and P7+ – can charge from 10 % to 80 % in about 12 minutes at 450‑525 kW, though today’s infrastructure is limited. The move follows similar expansion plans by other Chinese EV manufacturers such as BYD and Geely and aims to provide an open network that could also serve competing brands, potentially surpassing European offerings like IONITY.
