XREAL to showcase xbx a01+ AR glasses at Tokyo gaming event

XREAL is set to showcase its new sub-brand, xbx, at the ‘TOKYO Gaming-PC STREET 9’ event held at LIFORK AKIHABARA II on October 10, 2026. The exhibition will feature the xbx a01+, the first model under the xbx brand, designed to provide an immersive large-screen experience for gaming and video consumption.

The xbx a01+ is a lightweight augmented reality (AR) glass weighing approximately 56g when the front frame is removed. Priced at 43,980 yen, the device focuses on simplicity and portability, functioning as a single-cable large screen for compatible USB Type-C devices. It utilizes SeeYa dual-layer Micro OLED displays with a Birdbath optical system, offering a 1920x1080 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Unlike high-end models, the xbx a01+ omits complex features like 6DoF tracking and dedicated management apps to maintain its affordable price point. Instead, it features built-in controls on the temples to adjust brightness, volume, display modes, and audio effects. The device is compatible with hardware supporting DisplayPort Alternate Mode, such as certain smartphones and handheld gaming consoles.
