XRP Adoption Expands as Collateral and Treasury Asset Across Multiple Networks

Flare Networks co‑founder Hugo Philion explained how XRP can be wrapped into the non‑custodial token FXRP on Flare, allowing holders to use XRP as over‑collateralised collateral in decentralized finance protocols and generate yield by borrowing stablecoins. He also described a vault‑based approach where XRP is placed in a vault and deployed by a financial intermediary, offering an alternative, more centralized route to returns.

Separately, Anodos Finance CEO Panos Mekras highlighted that the firm has been buying, holding, and paying staff with XRP since 2023, treating the digital asset as its “north star.” He emphasized XRP’s cross‑chain liquidity across XRPL, Solana, Flare and other networks, positioning it as a bridge asset for treasury flexibility and broader institutional use.

Both accounts illustrate a growing push to move XRP beyond a simple payment token toward broader utility in collateralisation, yield generation, and corporate treasury management across multiple blockchain ecosystems.
