XRP Approaches Historic Low RSI, Sparking Rebound Speculation
The monthly Relative Strength Index for XRP has fallen to 42.7, the lowest level ever recorded for the token. Analysts note that each prior dip below the low‑40s – in 2015, 2020 and 2022 – was followed by a strong price rally. At the time of writing XRP trades near $1.13, down about 14% over the past week, after a nine‑month slide that has kept the token in oversold territory.
The technical signal arrives amid broader market weakness and a multi‑year legal dispute between Ripple Labs and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Although a recent court ruling said XRP is not a security when sold on secondary markets, uncertainty about future enforcement remains. Ripple’s market capitalisation has shrunk by roughly 15%, and the company’s revenue growth has slowed.
Separately, the XRP Ledger is preparing a 3.2.0 software upgrade that will rename the core server from “rippled” to “xrpld.” While the upgrade does not affect tokenomics, it is intended to modernise network operations and could support future protocol enhancements.
If the RSI rebounds above the $1.30 level before month‑end, analysts say the bearish narrative may weaken and a rally similar to past cycles could resume. Conversely, failure to recover could see the price test the $1.00 psychological barrier.
