XRP rallies to $1.28 as whales add 1.53 billion tokens
The XRP token jumped 13% in a single day, climbing back above $1.28 – a level not seen in two weeks. The surge coincided with a sharp decline in market fear after a reported US‑Iran de‑escalation, creating a favorable macro backdrop.
On‑chain data show that wallets holding at least 1 million XRP now control 74.1% of the total supply and have accumulated an additional 1.53 billion XRP over the past six months. This concentration of holdings tightened market liquidity, amplifying the price move.
Institutional demand also rose: XRP‑linked exchange‑traded funds recorded a second straight week of net inflows, adding $10.68 million and pushing cumulative inflows near $1.44 billion. The inflows have outpaced Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs for several weeks, supporting the price above the $1.20‑$1.22 support zone.
Technical analysis places resistance near $1.30‑$1.32, with further upside targets around $1.38 and $1.50 if buying pressure holds. Conversely, failure to maintain the $1.20 support could open a drop toward $1.15. Ripple’s expanding cross‑border payment network and tokenisation projects continue to underpin longer‑term utility for the token.
