XRP Ledger activity surges toward 1 million daily payments

Activity on the XRP Ledger is showing signs of significant growth. On September 1, the network processed 879,868 daily payments, a 33.6% increase from the previous day and a notable rise above the 30-day average of approximately 686,800. This surge brings the network closer to the psychological milestone of 1 million daily payments.

According to a report from Evernorth, trading activity also expanded during the second quarter. While the number of daily active trading accounts decreased from 1,864 to 1,111, the average daily order-book volume rose 79% year-over-year. This resulted in a higher volume of XRP traded per active account, averaging 3,217 XRP compared to 1,072 XRP in the prior year.

Liquidity on the ledger is also diversifying through stablecoins. The average supply of Ripple’s dollar-pegged stablecoin, RLUSD, reached $539 million in Q2, up from $73 million the previous year. Meanwhile, Evernorth is preparing for a public debut through a proposed combination with Armada Acquisition Corp. II, with a shareholder vote scheduled for September 30.
