XRP Ledger Approaches One Million AI Agent Transactions as XRP Gains 3%

The XRP Ledger is nearing a milestone of almost one million transactions executed solely by autonomous AI agents, according to on‑chain data. This surge in machine‑driven activity coincides with a broader market recovery in July that lifted XRP about 3% to roughly $1.12, pushing the token above the middle Bollinger Band on the daily chart.

The growth is driven by the XRPL x402 payment facilitator, a protocol developed by the t54 team with support from Ripple. It enables AI bots to settle micro‑payments for computing power or data directly on the ledger, using the rarely‑used HTTP 402 "Payment Required" code. Each transaction burns a small portion of the fee, providing a modest deflationary pressure as usage rises. Analysts note that breaking above key technical levels—such as the $1.23 upper daily band and the $1.3147 weekly middle Bollinger Band—could signal a stronger bullish move toward the $1.30 price region.
