XRP Ledger Records 1 Million AI Agent Transactions as Ripple Expands Machine‑Payments
The XRP Ledger has surpassed the milestone of one million AI‑agent (machine‑to‑machine) transactions, indicating growing use of the network for autonomous payments. Ripple is extending tools that enable software to spend XRP or RLUSD without manual approval, aiming to create a continuous, sentiment‑independent demand source for the token.
RippleX’s head of engineering Ayo Akinyele said the volume could rise to between ten and one hundred million transactions in the coming years, supported by the launch of the XRPL AI Hub by Ripple‑backed t54.ai. The development positions the ledger as a settlement layer for an emerging agentic economy.
At the time of reporting, XRP was trading near $1.15 and Bitcoin around $66,600, but the primary focus is the structural shift toward automated, schedule‑based payments on the ledger.
