XRP Ledger surpasses 5 billion transactions and grows in asset tokenization

The XRP Ledger (XRPL) has reached a significant milestone, surpassing 5 billion cumulative transactions since its launch over a decade ago. The network is also seeing a surge in activity, with daily transactions stabilizing above the 500,000 mark, a level that previously served as a peak but now functions as a baseline for network usage.

In the sector of real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, XRPL has demonstrated substantial growth. Data indicates that the ledger recorded approximately $1.9 billion in inflows toward RWAs over a 90-day period, excluding stablecoins. This figure exceeds the $1.6 billion recorded by Ethereum and the $1.4 billion by Stellar during the same timeframe.

The network's expansion continues across various sectors, including payments, stablecoins, decentralized finance (DeFi), and tokenization. Efforts by entities such as Gemini and Mastercard aim to further increase the utilization of the ledger in new financial markets and applications.
