XRP network activity surges as large holder counts hit 2026 record

The XRP Ledger has experienced a significant surge in network activity, recording 7,934 new wallets on November 1. This figure represents the sixth-highest daily increase in 2026 and is more than double the recent 30-day average of approximately 3,500 new wallets.

Despite XRP trading in a relatively weak range between $1.20 and $1.25, the number of large holders—wallets containing at least 1 million XRP—has climbed to 2,147. This marks the highest concentration of million-token wallets recorded in 2026. Analysts suggest this divergence between price and large-wallet growth may indicate accumulation by long-term holders.

The spike in wallet creation occurred on a Sunday, a period typically characterized by lower crypto network activity. Some analysts suggest the surge may be linked to users moving assets to self-custody following a major security incident at Binance in late October, though a direct causal link has not been confirmed. For a sustained bullish outlook, analysts suggest XRP must reclaim the $1.30 and $1.40 levels while maintaining high network growth and large-holder counts.
