XRP Whale Activity Slumps 57% as $170 M Pulled from Binance
Over a nine‑day period, XRP whale transactions exceeding $1 million fell from 157 to 67, a drop of 57.3 %. The contraction points to a market‑compression phase in which large holders are stepping back rather than exiting positions. At the same time, whales withdrew 122 million XRP – about $170.8 million at current rates – from the Binance exchange on May 22, marking the first daily outflow above 100 million XRP since early February.
The withdrawals occurred while XRP traded in a tight $1.30‑$1.50 range, with analysts highlighting the $1.35‑$1.40 zone as a “best accumulation zone.” Spot XRP ETF inflows have risen for 16 consecutive days, totalling $116.75 million, further tightening supply. If the price holds above $1.30, a breakout could push XRP toward $2.33, though a loss of support may trigger a deeper decline toward the low‑$1 region.
