XTB reports growth in young Czech investors and app updates

The investment platform XTB is transitioning from a traditional online broker toward a comprehensive investment application designed to assist with long-term wealth management. This strategic shift aims to appeal to a broader demographic, including beginners, through increased automation and simplified processes.

Data from XTB indicates a 20 percent year-on-year increase in new young investors (aged 18 to 26) during the first seven months of the year, with Generation Z accounting for over a quarter of all new clients. While 66 percent of these young investors focus on individual stocks, 61 percent utilize Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). A notable trend shows that young women utilize ETFs more frequently (72 percent) compared to young men (56 percent).

To support new users, XTB has introduced a 5 percent annual welcome interest rate on uninvested funds up to 605,000 CZK for the first 90 days, provided clients perform at least one stock or ETF transaction per month. This promotion is scheduled to run from September 14, 2026, to December 31, 2026.
